new restaurant series


NBC’s upcoming reality show ‘America’s Next Great Restaurant’ is ready for releasing on 6th March, 2011. The newest reality show is about to make someone’s dream come true in the best way. America’s Next Great Restaurant has been portrayed as cross between Top Chef and The Apprentice. It will be similarly focused on food and its business. In this competition, winner will get the opportunity to see their idea turned into reality with a new restaurant series opened in three cities across America.



The performance of the contestants will be judged by internationally renowned chef ‘Curtis Stone’, famous restaurateur ‘Bobby Flay’, and executive chef and restaurateur ‘Lorena Garcia’ and founder, chairman and co-CEO of Chipotle ‘Steve Ells’, who all will also invest their money into the winning restaurant idea. Dan Cutforth, Jane Lipsitz and Amy Chacon are executive producers of the series. Emmy Award-winning Magical Elves is producer of new reality show.

Throughout the series, judges will be working alongside with the contestants to develop their ideas and put every contestant idea through exact cooking and business challenges to find out which concept has ability to turn into America’s next great restaurant. The show will start with total 21 contestants which are selected by nationwide search. On the first episode, all 21 contestant will present their restaurant ideas in front of judges and from which judges will eliminate 11 contestants. Then, program will run with 10 competitors, who will try to present their greatest restaurant ideas to panel of judges and then judges will decide which contestant’s idea has the best potential for success, and those who do not go up to the challenge will be sent home.

Chipotle chain founder, Steve Ells says all over the series judges are searching for best “fast, casual restaurant idea that’s going to sweep this country.” He also said that fast casual does not mean fast food, and that the winning restaurant must offer real food and real cooking. The first episode of the show tapers down the 20 concepts to 10 and every week, they will be rising ideas as menu, design, and marketing technique to develop the restaurants. The finale episode of the show will become more exciting for only one person who win the show and also able to start their restaurants chain. It is sure that this moment will be exciting for many people, but there is also no doubt that runner up of show will be left with tears.
